Collection: Hydrocolloid Dressings

Hydrocolloid dressings form a gel on contact with wound fluid, keeping the wound moist and supporting the body's natural (autolytic) debridement. They suit wounds with light to moderate exudate and are commonly used for pressure injuries and minor burns. EMIS+ supplies hydrocolloid dressings in Singapore.

Why choose hydrocolloid

Hydrocolloids are self-adhesive, waterproof and can stay in place for several days, protecting the wound from contamination while it heals. They are not suited to heavily exuding or clinically infected wounds — foam or an antimicrobial dressing may be more appropriate there.
